About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia.

I received my undergrad in Elementary Education from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. I grew up in South Dakota where faith, family, a strong support network, and good work ethic are a priority. After graduation from college, I spent five years with FOCUS (the Fellowship of Catholic University Students) as a missionary. I served three years in Annapolis, MD, at the United States Naval Academy and two years in Pittsburgh, PA, at the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University and Chatham University. It was during these five years where I felt the calling to journey with people through the field of counseling.

I received my M.S. in Clinical Psychology from the Institute for the Psychological Sciences. The training I received was focused on the integration of faith and psychology where the scientific study of psychology is based on the Catholic understanding of the human person, marriage and family.

After my internship in 2012 with Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington, VA (CCDA), I was hired as a counselor and am now the Program Director. I have gained a broad scope of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couple and families, and groups. My experience with CCDA has led me to branching out to use my gifts and knowledge to serve others through distance counseling.

I am passionate about journeying with people and helping clients work through issues that prevent them from a flourishing life. It is important for me to continue to learn and grow as a clinician as well as to live a sacramental and prayerful life. I believe God has called me to this career to minister to His people through the gift of counsel.

I reside in Virginia with my husband and daughter.
